clinic
Premiered March 2019 @ the Tarragon Workspace
In an abortion clinic waiting room, a man with a broken jaw tries to make peace with his circumstances, when an off-kilter and eccentric young woman sits next to him and begins seeking his friendship, understanding, and forgiveness.
Clinic is a play about a victim of childhood trauma who is trying to discover how to function in the world, and build meaningful relationships with others. The play aims to incite a dialogue surrounding the cyclical nature of abuse, and provoke a critical discussion about the way our society deals with sexual violence.
RUN TIME: 65 minutes
